DSC Court Fees
This court does not publish its DSC fee schedule online. Call (972) 483-7329 ext. 106 to confirm the exact amount before submitting payment.
Standard Texas DSC fee is typically $144 for moving violations and $169 for school zone violations, but varies by court.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Valid Texas driver's license or permit (valid out-of-state license accepted for active military, military spouse, or dependent)
- •Proof of financial responsibility (insurance) with your name on it
- •Plea of guilty or no contest
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certificate of completion from a Texas Education Agency-approved driving safety course (or TXDPS-approved motorcycle operator course)
- •Certified copy of your Type 3A driving record from TXDPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: On or before the appearance date on the citation.
- •Completion window: 90 days (case deferred for 90 days to complete the course and submit the certificate)..

- •Ineligible offenses: leaving the scene of an accident, failure to give accident information, passing a stopped school bus, construction/work-zone violations, 25+ mph over, or 95+ mph regardless of the posted limit.
- •Eligibility: cannot have completed a driving safety/motorcycle course for a traffic offense within the last 12 months, cannot currently be taking a course for another violation, and cannot hold (or have held) a CDL.
- •No separate DSC request form link is published; the court references a 'plea form' provided to the defendant. Driver must plead guilty or no contest to request the course.
