How to Request DSC Approval

MailTo REQUEST: Fill out the 'Driver's Safety Course' section on the back of your citation and mail with full name, date of birth, citation/case number, phone number, and check/money order for court costs to: El Paso Municipal Court, 810 E Overland, El Paso, TX 79901. To SUBMIT COMPLETION DOCS: Mail the same address within 90 days of court order.
FaxTo REQUEST: Fill out the 'Driver's Safety Course' section on your citation and fax to (915) 546-2939. The court will mail back approval paperwork and cost amount.
In-personTo REQUEST: Apply in person at a court bond office location or at arraignment (Northeast Municipal Court Annex, 9600 Dyer St, El Paso, TX; arraignment hours 7:00 AM–11:00 AM and 1:00 PM–3:00 PM). To SUBMIT COMPLETION DOCS: Bring documentation to any court location within 90 days.
In-person (Arraignment)Appear before the judge on your arraignment date (listed on citation) to request DSC. Required for juveniles under 18 — their only option for requesting DSC.

Important Deadlines & Local Rules

  • You have 90 days from court approval/order date to complete the course and submit all documents.
  • El Paso Municipal Court does NOT endorse any specific DSC schools. If you receive a call or text claiming the court ordered you to complete a course, contact the court directly at (915) 212-0215.
  • Juveniles (under 18) MUST appear at arraignment before a judge — mail and fax request methods are NOT available to them.
  • If DSC documentation is not submitted within 90 days, the court will issue a notice to return to court. Failure to appear may result in an arrest warrant.
  • If you were granted DSC but no longer wish to complete it, you must fill out the Decline Form and pay your fine at a court location.
  • DSC is NOT available for: speeding 25+ mph over the limit, violations in active work/construction zones, failure to maintain insurance, failure to render aid, or if you have taken DSC for another ticket within the last 12 months.
