DSC Court Fees

Standard Texas DSC fee is typically $144 for moving violations and $169 for school zone violations, but varies by court.

Important Deadlines & Local Rules

• •You have 90 days from court approval/order date to complete the course and submit all documents.
• •El Paso Municipal Court does NOT endorse any specific DSC schools. If you receive a call or text claiming the court ordered you to complete a course, contact the court directly at (915) 212-0215.
• •Juveniles (under 18) MUST appear at arraignment before a judge — mail and fax request methods are NOT available to them.
• •If DSC documentation is not submitted within 90 days, the court will issue a notice to return to court. Failure to appear may result in an arrest warrant.
• •If you were granted DSC but no longer wish to complete it, you must fill out the Decline Form and pay your fine at a court location.
• •DSC is NOT available for: speeding 25+ mph over the limit, violations in active work/construction zones, failure to maintain insurance, failure to render aid, or if you have taken DSC for another ticket within the last 12 months.
