DSC Court Fees
⚠ Court DSC fee is $150. No personal checks accepted; money order or online payment only.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Copy of driver's license
- •Copy of insurance
- •Copy of citation
- •Notarized affidavit entering a plea of Nolo Contendere, signed before a Notary Public
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certified Type 3A driving record from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Must contact the court to request DSC within 20 days of the violation date.
- •Completion window: 90 days to complete the course and submit the certificate to the court..
- •Eligibility: no Commercial Driver's License; alleged speed under 95 mph; driving less than 25 mph over the limit; no DSC completed for a citation in the past 12 months; not currently enrolled in another DSC.
- •Course may be taken in-person or online but must be Texas TDLR-approved.
- •Driver is responsible for mailing the ORIGINAL signed completion certificate to the court.
