How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These

- •Affidavit for a Driving Safety Course (notarized)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Driving Safety Course (Court) Certificate of completion from a TEA-approved provider
- •Certified driving record (Type 3A) where required
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Request must be made on or before the response/appearance date listed on the citation.
- •Completion window: 90 days after the court grants the request to submit the certificate of completion..
- •Juvenile defendants (under 17) cannot use the online DSC request; they must appear in open court with a parent or guardian and enter a plea before the judge.
- •Submitting the online request does not guarantee it will be granted; the request must be approved by the court.
- •The signed citation is a promise to appear before the court within 20 days.
