DSC Court Fees
⚠ Court costs + administrative fee. Plus $10-$12 for the required DPS certified driving record (Type 3A). No payment plans available. Do not take the course or pay online before obtaining court approval.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Valid Texas driver's license
- •Proof of current auto liability insurance
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certified copy of driving record, Type 3A (from Texas DPS)
- •Signed certificate of completion from the driving safety course (signed court copy)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Request must be submitted on or before the appearance/appear-by date on the citation; written notice to the court is required by that date.
- •Completion window: 90 days from court approval date (90-day probation period)..
- •Moving violations only; paperwork offenses excluded.
- •CDL holders are not eligible.
- •Requires a plea of 'No Contest' or 'Guilty'.
- •Not eligible if you have taken a DSC dismissal within the prior 12 months, or are using DSC for another offense in this or any other court.
