How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Valid Texas driver's license
- •Proof of financial responsibility (insurance)
- •Written plea of guilty or no contest
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •certificate of completion and certified Type 3A driving record from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: On or before the appearance date shown on your citation
- •Completion window: 90 days from court approval (standard Texas practice — confirm with court).
- •Standard Texas eligibility rules apply: no DSC in the prior 12 months, no CDL, speed under 25 mph over the limit.
- •Paying the citation online is a conviction — request DSC with the clerk first.
