How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These

- •Proof of automobile insurance (paper copy required per site)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •DSC completion certificate (Type 3A, TDLR-approved course) — signed by defendant before submission
- •Official Texas driving record (from DPS)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Request must be made on or before your appearance date printed on the citation
- •Completion window: 90 days from court approval (TX standard; Double Oak has not published a different window).
- •Double Oak is a small town (~3,000 residents) in Denton County, near Flower Mound and Highland Village. The court handles its own docket independently.
- •Most violations do not require a personal appearance — the online portal can be used to request DSC before the appearance date.
- •Deferred Disposition (separate from DSC) requires citation cost + $50 Special Expense Fee; DSC completion is mandatory for defendants age 24 and younger under deferred disposition.
