How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Certified copy of your current driver record (from texas.gov)
- •Proof of insurance listing you as a driver
- •Court permission before enrolling/taking the course
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •DSC Certificate of Completion (signed)
- •Certified Type 3A Driving Record from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •DSC is only for drivers with a valid TEXAS license and only for moving violations.
- •Ineligible: speeding 25+ over, school bus / passing a stopped school bus, work-zone citations, hit-and-run, CDL holders, and DSC within the prior 12 months.
- •Do NOT take the course until the court grants permission.
- •Once the court receives your certificate, the citation is dismissed.
