DSC Court Fees

How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Valid Texas driver's license
- •Proof of liability insurance
- •Proof of DSC course completion (certificate) — submitted by 90-day deadline
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •DSC Certificate of Completion (signed)
- •Certified Type 3A Driving Record from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: On or before the due date on your citation (contact court within 10 days of receiving citation)
- •Completion window: 90 days from court approval.
- •DSC only available if no DSC taken in previous 12 months.
- •Ineligible if cited for: speeding 25+ mph over the limit, school bus violations, reckless driving, or holder of a commercial driver's license.
- •Juveniles (under 17) must appear in person with a parent or legal guardian.
- •Phone pleas are not accepted — all requests must be handled in person or by mail (DSC specifically in person).
