How to Request DSC Approval

In-personMust request DSC in person on or before the due date on your citation. City Hall / Municipal Court at 601 S 1st Street, Lamesa, TX 79331.
MailFines and general citation payments may be mailed (or deposited in night deposit box on west side of city hall), but DSC request must be made in person.

To Request Approval — Submit These

  • Valid Texas driver's license
  • Proof of liability insurance
  • Proof of DSC course completion (certificate) — submitted by 90-day deadline

After Completing the Course — Submit These

  • DSC Certificate of Completion (signed)
  • Certified Type 3A Driving Record from Texas DPS

Important Deadlines & Local Rules

  • Request deadline: On or before the due date on your citation (contact court within 10 days of receiving citation)
  • Completion window: 90 days from court approval.
  • DSC only available if no DSC taken in previous 12 months.
  • Ineligible if cited for: speeding 25+ mph over the limit, school bus violations, reckless driving, or holder of a commercial driver's license.
  • Juveniles (under 17) must appear in person with a parent or legal guardian.
  • Phone pleas are not accepted — all requests must be handled in person or by mail (DSC specifically in person).
