DSC Court Fees
⚠ Fee includes state court costs and administrative fees; subject to change per state law. Payment is due at the time of the DSC request.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Completed Driver Safety Course Application with plea of Guilty or No Contest
- •Valid Texas driver's license
- •Proof of financial responsibility (insurance)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •certificate of completion from a state-approved driving safety course
- •Type 3A certified copy of your driving record from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Within 20 calendar days from the date the citation was issued, or by your appearance date
- •Completion window: 90 days from the date of payment to complete the course and return all required documentation to the court.
- •Eligibility requires not having completed a DSC for ticket dismissal within the 12 months prior to the citation date.
- •Prosecution is postponed 90 days from PAYMENT — the clock starts when you pay, not when you enroll.
