⚠ The $157 is payable to the Crane County Justice of the Peace at the time of your driving-safety-course request.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Copy of driver's license (non-commercial only)
- •Copy of current insurance
- •Copy of citation
- •Payment of $157.00 (money order or cashier's check payable to Crane County Justice of the Peace; no personal checks; debit/credit cards accepted by phone)
- •Signed and notarized plea statement (No Contest or Guilty)
- •Complete contact information (name, mailing address, phone, citation/cause number)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certified driving record (Type 3A) from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Must contact court and submit all documents before the appearance date on the citation
- •Completion window: 90 days from court approval.
- •Do not begin the DSC course until you receive an approval letter from the court — starting before approval disqualifies you.
