DSC Court Fees
⚠ Fees paid through the Municipal Online Payment Portal. Credit/debit card transactions incur a 2.75% processing fee plus a $2.50 online payment fee. No personal checks accepted — money orders or portal payment only.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Completed DSC Request and Unsworn Affidavit (available on the portal)
- •Copy of valid, non-CDL Texas driver's license (military members: military ID + valid driver's license)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •COURT COPY of the TDLR-approved Driving Safety Course certificate of completion
- •Type 3 or 3A driving record from the Texas Department of Public Safety (submitted after course completion)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •On or before the initial appearance date listed on the citation
- •You have 90 days from court approval to complete the course and submit all documents.
- •EMAILED DSC REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED — requests must go through the payment portal.
- •The DSC Request form and Unsworn Affidavit are available directly on the portal (no notary required — unsworn declaration accepted in lieu of sworn affidavit).
- •All requirements must be submitted via portal, mail (with payment), or in person on or before their respective deadlines.
- •If driving more than 25 mph over the speed limit, DSC is NOT available — must request to speak with the prosecutor in writing or in person.
