How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Completed DSC Request form
- •Copy of valid Texas Driver's License
- •Proof of current vehicle liability insurance
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certificate of Completion from a state-approved driving safety class
- •Certified copy of driving record from the Texas Department of Public Safety (Type 3A)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •On or before the appearance date shown on the citation — request must be made in person or in writing by mail
- •You have 90 days from court approval — NO extensions will be granted to complete the course and submit all documents.
- •Do NOT take a driving safety course without first obtaining permission from the court.
- •Requesting by mail or online requires the DSC Application form to be submitted.
- •For online requests: proceed to the 'Pay Online' tab, read carefully and follow all instructions.
- •No extensions to complete the course will be given — the 90-day window is firm.
