DSC Court Fees
⚠ Fees are per eligible offense. Court explicitly states '$144.00 or $169.00 (if in a school zone) per eligible offense' — paid by due date at time of request.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Valid Texas Driver's License or permit (not CDL; active military exempted)
- •Proof of financial responsibility (insurance)
- •Note: In limited statutory instances the driving record may not be required — refer to your Court Order
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Driving Safety Course Certificate of Completion — Court Copy, issued by DSC school or provider, must bear TDLR logo and be issued to Frisco Municipal Court
- •Certified copy of driving record (Type 3A) from the Texas Department of Public Safety, bearing Texas DPS Seal
- •Note: In limited statutory instances the driving record may not be required — refer to your Court Order
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •On or before the appearance/due date shown on citation — court must approve request BEFORE course is started
- •You have 90 days from court approval (per court's own DSC page: 'Submit the documents to the court by your 90-day deadline') to complete the course and submit all documents.
- •IMPORTANT (verbatim from court site): 'The court must approve your request before you start a driving safety course.'
- •DSC Certificate must be the Court Copy with the TDLR logo AND must be issued specifically to Frisco Municipal Court — generic certificates not addressed to Frisco Municipal Court may be rejected.
- •3A Driving Record must bear the Texas DPS Seal to be accepted.
- •Processing time after submission: 'Allow 10-14 days for the court staff to process your submission.'
