Celina Municipal Court — Driver Safety Course Instructions
DSC Court Fees
⚠ Court costs and administrative fee; pay online, in person, or mail a check within 30 days. Do NOT pay before the Court orders you to.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •At request: valid Texas Driver's License or permit (active-duty military, spouses, and dependent children exempt)
- •At request: proof of financial responsibility (current auto insurance with valid effective date)
- •At request: plea of No Contest or Guilty with jury trial waiver and signed Request/Affidavit for Driving Safety Course
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •DSC Certificate of Completion (state-approved 6-hour course)
- •certified copy of driving record (Type 3A Driver Record)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: On or before your appearance date
- •Completion window: 90 days from the date the Judge grants permission to complete the course and submit the certified driving record.
- •Verbatim: 'DO NOT take a Driving Safety Course without first obtaining permission from the Court.'
- •Verbatim: 'DO NOT make payment, obtain driver record, or take a driving safety course (DSC) prior to being ordered to do so by the Court'
- •Court order is sent by email; your signature is NOT required on the emailed Order but you must comply with its terms; allow 1-3 business days processing
- •Ineligible if: construction zone with workers present, CDL holder, passing a school bus, leaving the scene of an accident, speeding 25+ mph over the limit or 95+ mph, or DSC completed within the preceding 12 months
