⚠ The court publishes a non-refundable $160.00 driving safety course fee that must accompany the request. No separate school-zone DSC fee is published.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Notarized Request for Driving Safety Course
- •Proof of a valid driver's license
- •Proof of active (current) insurance
- •Non-refundable $160 fee
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certified driving record from the Texas DPS confirming no DSC completion within the preceding 12 months (submitted before the deferral period expires)

- •Completion window: The court defers judgment for 90 days to allow completion of the course and submission of the certificate..
