How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These

- •Proof of course completion certificate from a TDLR-approved provider
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Texas Type 3A driver record (official driving record — not older than 90 days)

- •Request deadline: Request must be made and affidavit postmarked on or before your appearance date.
- •Completion window: 90 days (standard Texas DSC window; confirm with court).
- •Call the court before taking a defensive driving course to confirm eligibility.
- •You may not have used DSC for ticket dismissal in the prior 12 months.
- •CDL holders are not eligible.
