Important Deadlines & Local Rules

  • On or before the appearance date (in person), OR postmarked no later than the 10th business day following issuance of the citation (certified mail). Court's verbatim language: 'You will lose that right if, on or before your appearance date, you do not provide the court with notice of your request to take the course.'
  • You have 90 days from court approval to complete an approved Driving Safety Course or Motorcycle Operator Course and present proof of completion along with driving record to the court to complete the course and submit all documents.
  • Request may be made IN PERSON during regular business hours OR by certified mail, return receipt requested, postmarked on or before the 10th business day following citation issuance.
  • Mail-in requests require a NOTARIZED DSC Request Form; in-person requests do not specify notarization.
  • Payment must be cashier's check or money order only — no cash or personal checks mentioned.
  • A self-addressed stamped envelope must be included with mail requests UNLESS the defendant provides an email address.
