DSC Court Fees

Standard Texas DSC fee is typically $144 for moving violations and $169 for school zone violations, but varies by court.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Valid Texas Driver's License (or proof of active military duty)
- •Proof of insurance (copy showing your name as an insured driver)
- •Payment of administrative court fee (cash, money order, Visa, or Mastercard — at time of request)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •After course completion: DSC Certificate of Completion (original; cannot be emailed or faxed)
- •After course completion: Certified copy of Texas driving record from the Department of Public Safety (Type 3A)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •On or before the appearance date on the citation (arraignment dates cannot be rescheduled)
- •You have 90 days from court approval to complete the course and submit all documents.
- •DSC payment may NOT be made online — must be cash, money order, Visa, or Mastercard paid in person at the time of request.
- •Driver Safety Course Certificates CANNOT be submitted via email or fax. Originals must be filed in person at 2555 Cullen Pkwy or by USPS mail to PO Box 84609.
- •Paying a fine online forfeits the right to request a DSC: 'a voluntary online payment will result in a conviction… and forfeits any right to request a Driving Safety class.'
- •CHECKS ARE NOT ACCEPTED by this court for any payment.
