How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Completed Driving Safety Request Form and Affidavit
- •Valid Texas driver's license
- •Proof of financial responsibility (auto insurance)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certificate of completion from a TDLR-approved driving safety/defensive driving course
- •Certified copy of your Texas driving record (Type 3A) from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: On or before the appearance date on your citation (standard Texas rule; confirm with court).
- •Completion window: 90 days after the court grants the request (standard Texas rule; confirm with court)..
- •Court is a non-record court and convenes the second Tuesday of each month at 5:00 PM at the Municipal Building.
- •Office hours are limited: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–5:00 PM only. Please allow 72 hours after issuance of a citation before contacting the court.
