How to Request DSC Approval

Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: On or before the appearance date shown on your citation.
- •Completion window: 90 days after approval (standard Texas default — confirm with court)..
- •Official court page confirms DSC eligibility: valid Texas driver's license, age 17 or older, and not exceeding the posted speed limit by more than 24 mph.
- •DSC request must be submitted in person, by mail, or by email on or before the appearance date on the citation.
- •Deferred Disposition is offered as an alternative (including for out-of-state licenses); additional conditions apply for ages 17–24.
- •The judge will allow one reset of the appearance date upon request made before the scheduled date.
