How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Completed Defendant's Plea and Request for Driver Safety Course form
- •Payment of $130.00 (no personal checks)
- •Copy of valid Texas Driver License or Permit (Class C)
- •Copy of proof of insurance with defendant listed as a driver
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •DSC Certificate of Completion (signed)
- •Certified Type 3A Driving Record from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Contact court promptly — do not wait; bench warrant risk if citation is ignored
- •Completion window: Due date assigned by court after request is approved.
- •Judge Jay Womack presides over Precinct 1 Place 2.

- •DSC not available if charged with speeding 25+ mph over limit or 95+ mph in any zone, or offense in a work zone with workers present.
