DSC Court Fees
⚠ Fee is in addition to the course cost. A $10 admin fee is non-refundable. Payment by money order or cashier's check only (no personal or business checks) made payable to 'Blanco Municipal Court'.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Completed and notarized DSC Request Form (sworn before a notary, sealed)
- •DSC fee of $144 (or $169 for school zone) by money order or cashier's check payable to 'Blanco Municipal Court'
- •Proof of valid liability insurance (with defendant's name on policy)
- •Copy of valid Texas Driver License (or valid Military ID with affidavit and orders, or valid out-of-state Driver License)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •DSC Certificate of Completion (signed)
- •Certified Type 3A Driving Record from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Form must be submitted (or legibly postmarked) on or before your appearance date
- •Completion window: 90 days from court approval — do not begin the course until you receive a DSC Instruction Sheet from the court.
- •Do NOT begin the course until you receive a DSC Instruction Sheet from the court after your request is approved.
- •Payment accepted by money order or cashier's check ONLY — personal and business checks will delay processing.
- •The DSC Request Form must be notarized (sworn and signed before a notary public with notary seal).
- •Eligibility: must hold a valid non-commercial Texas Driver License (or Military ID equivalent); must not be taking a DSC course for another citation simultaneously; must not have completed a DSC course for another citation within the one year prior to this violation date.
