How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Valid Texas driver's license or military ID
- •Proof of automobile liability insurance
- •Guilty or no contest plea
- •Affidavit confirming no DSC taken within the prior 12 months
- •Completed Driver Safety Course Request Form (notarized)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •DSC Certificate of Completion (signed)
- •Certified Type 3A Driving Record from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: On or before the scheduled court date listed on the citation.
- •Request may be made in writing or verbally on or before the scheduled court date; the request form must be notarized.
- •Ineligible: work-zone with workers present, CDL holders, passing a stopped school bus, leaving the scene, or speeding 25+ over (or 95+ mph).
- •Governed by the court's Standing Order #14; call the clerk to confirm the completion window and post-course documents.
- •Affluent enclave within San Antonio (Bexar County).
