DSC Court Fees
⚠ Pay the $144.00 DSC fee instead of the original court cost; add $25.00 for a school-zone violation. A $200.00 fine is charged if the course is not completed within the 90-day window. Pay by cashier's check or money order payable to City of Rogers, or online by debit/credit card. No personal checks, no phone payments.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •A plea of Guilty or No Contest
- •A sworn affidavit (notarized) stating no DSC taken in the past 12 months
- •Proof of personal liability insurance in your name or with you listed as a driver
- •Copy of your Texas driver's license
- •Payment of the $144.00 fee (plus $25.00 if school zone)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Copy of your 3-year driving record (Type 3A) from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Must submit written notice (plea, affidavit, documents, and fee) on or before your appearance date; you lose the DSC right if you fail to provide written notice by then.
- •Completion window: 90 days from the appearance date to submit the State-approved DSC certificate of completion (a $200.00 fine applies if not completed in time)..

- •Eligibility per the official plea form: valid Texas Class C driver's license (no CDL); no DSC taken in the past 12 months; personal liability insurance; going less than 25 mph over the limit.
- •If under age 25, Texas law requires a Driving Safety Course as a condition of deferred disposition; deferred disposition (up to 180 days) is available as an alternative if not eligible for DSC.
