NY licensed drivers seeking up to 4-point reduction and/or 10% insurance discount.
Requirements & Deadlines
- DMV-approved online or classroom
- Can be taken once every 18 months for point reduction
- Insurance discount valid 3 years
Submission Details
Certificate Submission: Provider reports completion to DMV; driver submits certificate to insurer
Reporting Method: Automatic DMV update (points); physical certificate to insurer
Deadlines: Insurance certificate should be submitted within 90 days for retroactive discount
